Our interactive Wake experience provides a rare and unique insight into our ancient customs, rituals and traditions. The Bay of Islands is home to Taiamai Tours heritage journeys and the Ngapuhi, Fresh Zealand’s largest tribal Maori group. Mani spent maximum of the time at our request telling us stories of your history and culture. With impartial two of us on board we felt as it was a private tour, and I can barely remember much of the river scenery except for the attractive waterfall as we were so engrossed in Mani's history lessons.
Departing Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and S during the summer months, our Qualmark endorsed and very exclusive Maori war canoe voyages are a perfect combination of Eco, spiritual and interactive cultural experiences therefore it is from this position we confidently claim to be. Both Joni and Mani made us feel very welcome, and their incredible natures shone through.
